This policy explains what happens to your information when you use kaleidal.app and Kaleidal Map (“the Service”), provided by Kaleidal LLC (“Kaleidal”, “we”, “us”).
The short version
- Kaleidal Map runs entirely in your browser. Your videos, images and projects stay on your device and are not uploaded to us.
- There are no accounts, and no advertising or tracking cookies. Visit counts come from cookie-free Cloudflare Web Analytics.
- We don't sell your personal information.
Information that stays on your device
Media you add and projects you make are kept in your browser's own storage on your computer, or in files you choose to open and save. We can't see them. Clearing your browser's site data for kaleidal.app deletes them from the browser; files you saved yourself are unaffected.
Information our hosting provider processes
The site is served by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across sites, and only gives us totals (such as page views and countries), not information about individual visitors.
Affiliate links
Some guides link to products in shops such as Amazon. If you click one, the shop may set its own cookie to record that you came from us, under its own privacy policy. We don't receive any personal information about you from these shops, only a total of commissions earned.
Browser permissions
Some features ask your browser for permission, for example to place output windows on another display, keep imported media from being cleared, or (in future features) use a camera, microphone or MIDI controller. These are processed on your device only, and you can withdraw them in your browser's settings at any time.
Purchases (when paid plans launch)
Payments will be handled by Paddle, which acts as the seller of record and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We will receive your name, email address, country and order details, and keep a record of your licence and the devices it is activated on, so we can deliver and support your purchase. This section will be updated before paid plans launch.
Emails to support
If you email us, we use what you send only to answer you and keep it as long as needed to help.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold, and to object to its use. Email support@kaleidal.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

We'll post any changes here and update the date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
